Monet is my sister's 11 year old Standard Poodle, in August she and her littermate Dante were let out of her yard, someone chased them into the next city, then the 2 dogs separated and Dante was caught while Monet was still on the loose. She was lost & on her own for almost 4 weeks. We had sightings of her on a wilderness trail area, (pictures here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?fbid=448726229840&id=566089840&aid=208832) and we went and looked for her every day. Finally she was getting chased by a police officer and collapsed. She was near death. She had several wounds on her, and had maggots infesting her wounds. With lots of love, medical care and tlc she made a full recovery. Here she is now, over 6 months later...mind you she HATES cameras!
